The UsiXML Project has ended in March 2013. A very impressive and remarkable work has been done by our consortium raising the UsiXML language to a higher level.
The work around the language will continue to take into account your remarks in order to design better language and tools for the next versions.
A huge thanks to ITEA2, Eureka and all the governments of our countries for their belief in us and for their support along the life of the UsiXML project !

You can read here our last newsletter of the UsiXML project.

W3C Charter Group
2012-03-06 18:17

The new version of the UsiXML language designed during the UsiXML ITEA project has been officially submitted to the W3C Charter Group on Model-based User Interface Design.

For the moment, only the task meta-model, the domain meta-model and the AUI meta-model have been officially submitted since it is was the goal of the first W3C meeting in Kaiserslautern (Germany, 9-10 February).
The UsiXML submission document is available at: http://www.w3.org/wiki/images/5/5d/UsiXML_submission_to_W3C.pdf.
The home page of the 1st W3C workshop on Model-based user interface is at: http://www.w3.org/wiki/MBUI_Submissions
You can see there the other submissions and slides presented, including the slides that were presented on behalf of the UsiXML consortium.

The UsiXML Consortium is proud to be in charge of putting together a new proposal for the Abstract User Interface, based on all contributions. From the discussion, it is our impression that UsiXML has the most covering, complete, and refined meta-model on which some improvements could be still brought in order to reach a consensus among the group.
Happy new year !
